WHITEBEAM

Tree with a conical crown which can reach up to 14 metres tall. It stands out due to the intense whiteness of the underside of its leaves, which are between five and ten centimetres long, double-serrated and have prominent veins. Its white flowers cluster in umbels. The two seeds in its red fruit are favoured by birds.

FUN FACT: Its fruits are used in medicine as an expectorant and can also be used to make vinegar once fermented. Its branches were used as horse fodder.
